This very well-preserved bicycle is from the French brand Bertin and dates from the mid-80s. The model is (presumably) a Bertin C290, which can be seen from the chrome front fork and the Columbus Aelle tubes.<\/p>\n

Bertin bicycles are made in France and were made between 1950 and 1993 when Bertin cycles was bought by the holding company Cibo Participations. More information about the history of Bertin cycling can be found in the article Belgian and French Bertin Bicycles<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bertin bicycles were made in both France and Belgium, but they had their own characteristics. The bike featured here was made in France, which can be seen from the Shimano group and decals.<\/p>\n

The lugs of this Bertin C290 as well as the seatpost are from the brand Milremo, which was a subsidiary company of Bertin. This company no longer exists.<\/p>\n
